WHO ARE THE FRIENDS?

The Friends are a registered charity run by volunteers to support St Edward’s Catholic First School by promoting our school community through social events and family participation and raising funds that provide important revenue for school equipment, learning opportunities, and treats.

As the parent or carer of a child at St Edward’s First School you are automatically a member of The Friends.

An elected committee meets every term. All parents, carers and teachers are welcome to come along. Meeting dates are circulated by email to all parents and teachers, as well as appearing on the calendar on The Friends and School websites.

WAYS TO GET INVOLVED

What better way could there be to meet other parents than to get involved with the fun events that we hold here throughout the year?!

We are a very active committee and there’s always a fundraising activity in the pipeline, in which you are warmly invited to get involved by attending meetings, suggesting new ideas, and helping out at events - or maybe you are really good at something we haven’t even thought of yet!

Whilst many of us are working parents and it can be difficult to commit additional time to school activities, any help is appreciated. So if you feel you would like to get involved and volunteer, it can be as little or as much as you can manage. All help is welcomed!
